Join me in helping young people acheive better lives

Please join me in our challenge to support projects that encourage disadvantaged vulnerable young people away from anti-social behaviour and criminal activity, enabling them to fulfil their potential

My part: Stimulate donations by riding half of the Tour de France route:  12 stages from Morzine to Paris – 1844 km, 12 days cycling, 1 rest day.

Your part: Donate  (and encourage others to do the same) –   using this public funding page, OR for Shell employees use my SHELL crowd funding page to have Shell match your donation.

About the Cycling – Le Loop

Le Loop follows the official route of the Tour de France, one week ahead of the professionals.  I will ride the 2nd half, 5 July to 17 July 2022 – which starts in the Alps near Switzerland, crosses to the Pyrenees and then transfers to Paris.

Le Loop is organised by the William Wates Memorial trust (WWMT) – all the riders pay for the costs and organisation, AND commit to raising funds for WWMT

Le Loop is no small undertaking. Riding even ONE stage of the Tour de France route is going to hurt! Please reward my pain by giving generously.

About the William Wates Memorial Trust and the projects it supports

The WWMT exists to enhance the lives of disadvantaged young people (ages 5 - 19) by encouraging vulnerable young people away from anti-social behaviour and criminal activity, enabling them to fulfill their potential. This is achieved by giving grants to charities that engage young people through the medium of sports, arts and education.

It's been a tough couple of years for charities and particularly for young people. This is my chance to give something back and help support young people who aren't lucky enough to enjoy the advantages in life that most of us take for granted.
