I'm taking on an epic cycling challenge: Le Loop Tour de France
Le Loop is an annual charity ride which follows the official route of the Tour de France, one week ahead of the professionals and finishes 21 stages later in Paris, some 3,400kms later.
Obviously, you’d have to be completely crazy to do all 21 stages, and I’m not completely crazy so I’m doing 7, albeit the toughest mountain stages, starting in Clermont Ferrand and finishing in Courchevel.
I’m committed to raising at least 1500 pounds which will go directly to the William Wates Memorial Trust whose mission is to help the most disadvantaged young people keep away from a life of crime and violence and fulfil their potential. This is achieved by giving grants to charities that engage young people through the medium of sports, arts and education.
It's been a tough couple of years for charities and particularly for young people. This is my chance to give something back and help support young people who aren't lucky enough to enjoy the advantages in life that most of us take for granted.
Just a reminder: donations go entirely to the charity as I pay my own way on the trip and the ride supporters are also volunteers.
Donating is simple, quick and secure. Please remember to tick the gift aid box if you are a UK tax payer.
Thank you very much in advance. By sponsoring me and donating to the William Wates Memorial Trust you are seriously changing lives.
Thank you to my Sponsors
