We are taking on an epic cycling challenge: Le Loop.
About Our Le Loop Challenge
In June 2026, we’ll be taking on one of the biggest physical challenges we’ve ever attempted — riding stages of the Tour de France route as part of Le Loop 🚴♂️
Le Loop follows the official Tour de France route just one week ahead of the professionals, starting at the Grand Départ and finishing 3 weeks later in Paris.
Our team is made up of:
-
Steve (eldest bro)
-
Mike (middle bro)
Phil (youngest bro)
-
Sam (Mike’s son)
Phil and Steve will be riding the entire Grand Loop — all 21 stages. That’s over 3,000km of riding and more than 50,000 metres of climbing (the equivalent of riding up Everest multiple times!).
Mike and Sam will be joining along the way to take on 3 stages of the Tour route themselves involving two climbs of Alp D'Huez.
So yes… this is going to hurt.
Why We're Doing This
Every rider taking part in Le Loop commits to raising funds for the William Wates Memorial Trust — a brilliant charity that supports disadvantaged young people who are at risk of being drawn into crime or violence.
The Trust provides grants to organisations that engage young people through:
-
Sport
-
Education
-
The Arts
Giving them opportunities, direction and support to build a more positive future.
It’s been a difficult few years for many charities and the young people they support. This is our chance to give something back and help make a difference to those who may not have had the same opportunities that many of us take for granted.
The Important Bit 💛
All donations go directly to the William Wates Memorial Trust.
They do not pay for our participation — we’re covering all of the costs of taking part ourselves — so every pound you donate goes straight to helping young people who really need it.
Our Target 🎯
Together, we’re aiming to raise £9,000 for the charity.
If you’re able to donate — no matter how big or small — it would mean a huge amount. Your support will genuinely help keep us going when we’re halfway up an Alp somewhere questioning all of our life choices!
Please donate if you can, and feel free to share this page with others.
Merci!
