Le Loop: Riding for a Cause in the Alps

In July 2025, I’ll be taking on the Alps Loop as part of Le Loop, an incredible cycling challenge that follows the official route of the Tour de France, one week ahead of the professionals. Over four stages in the heart of the French Alps, I’ll tackle some of the most iconic and grueling climbs, finishing this epic adventure in the stunning mountain town of Courchevel.

The Alps Loop is no small feat. Across four days, I’ll ride 700km and climb a staggering 17,600 equivalent to scaling Everest and then some! The ride includes legendary Tour de France routes like the Col du Galibier, Col de la Loze, and my Mont Ventoux and other breathtaking (and leg-breaking!) mountain passes.

Why I’m Doing This
Le Loop isn’t just about the challenge, it’s about making a difference. Every rider commits to fundraising for the William Wates Memorial Trust (WWMT), which works tirelessly to support the most disadvantaged young people.

The Cause
WWMT helps young people steer clear of crime and violence, giving them the chance to fulfill their potential through sports, arts, and education. Every penny I raise goes directly to the Trust and is entirely separate from my participation fee, your donations won’t pay for my ride.

Why It Matters
The past few years have been incredibly tough for charities and the young people they support. This is my chance to give back and help those who don’t have the opportunities many of us take for granted.

How You Can Help
Taking on even one stage of the Tour de France route is a huge challenge, and I’m riding four! Please reward my effort (and pain) by donating generously to this amazing cause.

Thank you so much for your support, and merci!
