Le Loop - supporting the William Wates Memorial Trust
In July I'm doing a bike ride call LeLoop in the south of France. It's not any normal bike ride, it's the bike rides to end all bike rides. Two weeks before the Pros cover the route I'm joining a group of like minded (batshit crazy) cyclists (Loopers) to ride Stages 16 to 19 of the Tour de FranceStarting in Montpelier on the 15th of July and ending in La Plagne on the 18th i'll be cycling a minimum of 6 hours a day, covering a total distance of 500km and cycling up 10,000 metres of soul destroying mountain roads. The route is nothing sort of spectacular and includes a few iconic peaks and Cols including Mont Ventoux which alone is a minimum of 2 hours of solid up.
Its pure insanity but an exciting challenge.
But I'm not just doing it to appease some sort of mid life crisis, i'm doing it to raise money for the William Wates Trust charity who help kids, from tough backgrounds have a better start in life by supporting them through Sport, Art and Education. Having been a kids rugby coach for the last 10 years i've seen what sport can do to give children confidence and support so this charity is something i can wholehartedly get behind
So if you're in the giving mood please donate and help me reach my target.
Cheers
Chris
