Le Loop - supporting the William Wates Memorial Trust
In 1996 Will Wates, the younger brother of a good friend of mine, was tragically killed whilst travelling in Central America. This trust exists to celebrate his life and this year marks the 30th anniversary of Will's death and the trust. In order to commemorate this, I am cycling 2 stages of the Tour de France in the Alps: over 300km and 7,000m of climbing in 2 days. I love cycling and will be cycling with Will's brother, Monty. I've paid for all the expenses of my trip and the fundraised money is entirely separate from the participation fee.
All monies raised go directly to the William Wates Memorial Trust whose mission is to help the most disadvantaged young people keep away from a life of crime and violence and fulfil their potential.
