Finally - after a 3 year delay - We are attempting Le Loop- THE WHOLE ROUTE OF '23 TOUR De France .
Le Loop follows the official route of the Tour de France, one week ahead of the professionals and finishes 21 stages later in Paris, some 3,400kms later on Sunday 16th July
As you will all no doubt know its been a tough few years to get to this point. Collectively we have endured : Two fractured elbows, couple of car crashes, a knee replacement, two major back surgeries and serious back infection. Yet the determined old dinosaurs that we are, we're finally ready to attempt an endeavour that will test the very limits of our resolve. MAD !
Its often pointed out that people really just do these events for their own egos - and to some extent thats always true. BUT we would ask that you read the information about the amazing work WWMF does with the money and think about the sheer hell we're going to put ourselves through to achieve this goal and dig deep and be generous.
All monies raised go towards the William Wates Memorial Trust whose mission is to help the most disadvantaged young people keep away from a life of crime and violence and fulfil their potential. This is achieved by giving grants to charities that engage young people through the medium of sports, arts and education.
It's been a tough couple of years for charities and particularly for young people. This is our chance to give something back and help support young people who aren't lucky enough to enjoy the advantages in life that most of us take for granted.
Le Loop is no small undertaking. Riding even ONE stage of the Tour de France route is going to hurt! Please reward our pain by giving generously.
Merci!
