Let's go again...TOUR DE FRANCE 2024!
After the abrupt, but thankfully recoverable, end to last years' Tour de France attempt, it's back in the saddle for Mark Young for the 2024 event.
As per last year, it's the same route the professionals take but he starts one week before they do.
This year it's Florence to Nice, 21 stages over a distance of 3,592 km (2,231 miles) with 52,320 mtrs (171,653 ft) ascent.
Due to the accident last year, Le Loop (the organisers of the event) were kind enough to carry over the funds raised from last year (in aid of William Wates Memorial Trust). They have only increased the required amount by half, meaning that Mark is well on his way to reaching the target of £4,500.
