Riding the Tour de France route 2024 - supporting the William Wates Memorial Trust
Le Loop follows the official route of the Tour de France, one week ahead of the professional race and covers the entire 3500km, stage to stage, day to day in the same format as the pro-race. Sadly we won't whip round quite as fast as the peloton and are likely to face some long days in the heat!
On Friday 21st June 2024 I'll be embarking on this epic challenge and I am raising money for the William Wates Memorial Trust (WWMT). I am funding the full cost of the trip myself so every single pound you donate on here goes straight to the charity.
The William Wates Memorial Trust mission is to help the most disadvantaged young people keep away from a life of crime and violence and fulfil their potential. This is achieved by giving grants to charities that engage young people through the medium of sports, arts and education.
It's been a tough couple of years for charities and particularly for young people. This is my chance to give something back and help support young people who aren't lucky enough to enjoy the advantages in life that most of us take for granted.
Hopefully my body stays intact and in one piece to make it round the full three weeks - any donations to the charity gratefully received.
