I'm taking on three epic days of the 2023 Tour de France
Le Loop follows the official route of the Tour de France, one week ahead of the professionals.
I'm raising funds for the William Wates Memorial Trust (WWMT). Every penny of every donation will go to support their work. Their mission is to help the most disadvantaged young people keep away from a life of crime and violence and fulfil their potential. They do this by giving grants to charities that engage young people in sports, arts and education.
It's been a tough couple of years for charities and particularly for young people. This is my chance to give something back and help support young people who aren't lucky enough to enjoy the advantages in life that most of us take for granted.
Three days of the Tour is going to hurt! Please reward my pain by giving generously.

Friday 30th Jun I made it! Just over 500k. And 8,000 metres of climbing. Hard work. Probably the hardest sporting thing I have done. All the climbing was on days two and three. Six climbs in two days all 15k or so long, up to 2,100 metres on the Tourmalet. But it was great fun too, and for a fantastic cause. The charity who organise the event did it brilliantly. There were two speakers in the evenings from organisations who have benefitted from WWMT donations to make their work possible both of which were moving and impressive, sharing some of their really hard experiences early in life and how with support they had overcome these. Massive thanks to you all for your donations. I’m glad to have given you the excuse to give and make more of this work possible. I know we all long for a world free of inequality and injustice.
