Le Loop - supporting the William Wates Memorial Trust
About My Le Loop Challenge
In June 2026, I’ll be taking on the biggest physical challenge I’ve ever attempted -riding all 21 stages of the Tour de France route as part of Le Loop.
Le Loop follows the official Tour de France route just one week ahead of the professionals, starting at the Grand Départ and finishing 3 weeks later in Paris. While some riders take on a few stages... I’ve somehow agreed to ride the entire thing - that’s over 3,000km of riding and more than 50,000 metres of climbing (the equivalent of riding up Everest multiple times!).
So yes... this is going to hurt.
Why I'm Doing This
Every rider taking part in Le Loop commits to raising funds for the William Wates Memorial Trust - a brilliant charity that supports disadvantaged young people who are at risk of being drawn into crime or violence.
The Trust provides grants to organisations that engage young people through:
- Sport
- Education
- The Arts
Giving them opportunities, direction and support to build a more positive future.
It’s been a difficult few years for many charities and the young people they support. This is my chance to give something back and help make a difference to those who may not have had the same opportunities that many of us take for granted.
The Important Bit
All donations go directly to the William Wates Memorial Trust. They do not pay for my participation - I’m covering all of the costs of taking part myself - so every pound you donate goes straight to helping young people who really need it.
My Target
I’m aiming to raise £3,000 for the charity.
If you’re able to donate - no matter how big or small - it would mean a huge amount. Your support will genuinely help keep me going when I’m halfway up an Alp somewhere questioning all of my life choices!
Please donate if you can, and feel free to share this page with others.
Merci!
